GRP Rooftop MEP Enclosure for McLaughlin & Harvey

Project Overview

Quinshield designed, manufactured, delivered and site-assembled a bespoke GRP rooftop MEP enclosure for McLaughlin & Harvey as part of a major energy infrastructure development.

The enclosure was designed to support rooftop building services equipment, providing a durable, weather-resistant and low-maintenance GRP solution suitable for external plant environments.

The Requirement

The project required a robust GRP enclosure suitable for rooftop installation and long-term external exposure.

As part of the building services package, the enclosure needed to support equipment protection, access, weather resistance and coordination with the wider construction programme.

Quinshield also needed to provide a reliable service from manufacture through to site assembly, ensuring the enclosure could be erected efficiently once delivered to site.

GRP Rooftop Enclosure Design

Quinshield designed and manufactured the rooftop MEP enclosure to suit the project requirements.

GRP was well suited to the application because it is durable, corrosion-resistant and suitable for exposed external environments. This made it a practical choice for rooftop plant and building services equipment.

The enclosure provided weather-resistant protection while supporting access and long-term serviceability for the equipment housed within it.

Site Assembly

After manufacture, Quinshield delivered the enclosure to site and provided a site crew to erect and assemble the building.

By combining off-site manufacture with site assembly, Quinshield helped support the wider construction programme with a practical and coordinated enclosure solution.

This approach allowed the GRP enclosure to be produced in controlled factory conditions before being assembled on site to suit the project requirements.

Supporting Major Energy Infrastructure

The enclosure formed part of a wider major energy infrastructure development.

Projects of this nature require suppliers who can work reliably within structured construction programmes, while providing clear communication, dependable manufacture and appropriate site support.

Quinshield’s involvement demonstrates its ability to support contractors on complex infrastructure schemes with bespoke GRP enclosure solutions.

Outcome

Quinshield successfully delivered and site-assembled a bespoke GRP rooftop MEP enclosure for McLaughlin & Harvey.

The project highlights Quinshield’s ability to provide durable, site-specific GRP enclosures for rooftop plant, building services and energy infrastructure applications.
